The Patreon Experiment

I am finishing up my 17th month on Patreon! That’s kind of hard to believe. I wasn’t sure I could keep up with it, but I think I owe this ongoing responsibility the credit for the large part of my progress over the last year and a half. I have so much more confidence in my artwork now than when I started. There’s something about having an audience waiting for what I have to offer—I thought it would be confining, but instead I’ve found it liberating. They are the most encouraging group of people and it is a truly delightful place to be. I have not heard one harsh word there this whole time! (Unheard of these days, right?)

If you’re curious about it, for $5/mo. I offer printable art for use in journals and planners, etc. and videos than lean heavily on the chatty side. It’s the perfect place for me to try stuff out, and they get the beta version of about everything I create.

If you’re not familiar with Patreon, it’s an online platform for a subscription style membership, and (for mine in particular) you can start any time of the month and still get a complete month. In other words, if you start on the 15th, your billing date will be the 15th every month until you cancel, and of course you can cancel anytime.

I do tend to move my printables out after they’ve been there several months, but there’s still quite a backlog to catch up on!
